Kids and their phones

It takes a lot to cause me to sit back and say ‘hummm’ but this infographic on youths (American kids 12 – 17) and mobile phone use is quite staggering. Considering some of the data in this graphic that suggests that >10% are sending in excess of 200 text messages per day is astounding.

Communicating with youth as a target demo becomes increasingly more difficult but ultimately ensuring your digital mediums are mobile friendly clearly a new reality.  Consider that 23% are using mobile phones to generate and monitor content on social media sites, it is impressive.
